Convenor – Alex Kerr
Alex is 21 years old and is a long-time member of the SNP.
Alex has had varied occupations since school; working in call centres, studying Engineering at college and Strathclyde University and then working as a parliamentary researcher.
Alex co-founded SNP Strathclyde and Students for Independence Strathclyde and is the youngest SNP Branch Convenor (Shettleston).
Secretary – Joe Docherty
Joe has been a member of the SNP since 2011 and has been a prolific local and national SNP campaigner ever since.
‘I passionately believe that the Party’s youth movement should have a strong voice. Over 15% of the Scottish electorate is under 30 and we have to ensure that the ideas of our young members can be heard throughout the Party.’
Organiser – John Cumming
John is 16 year old student and began campaining with the SNP at age 12.
Having joined the party at age 15, after the independence referendum, John became an active member of the Glasgow Kelvin Branch, quickly being elected as Youth Officer.
John is one of our youngest executive members and was one of the youngest first time speakers at the SNP Spring Conference.
Women and Equalities Officer – Emma Hendrie
Emma has been campaigning on youth issues such as votes at 16 and support for young carers since she was 14.
She is in her first year of a law degree at the University of Glasgow and, since joining the party in 2014 after the referendum, Emma has been an active member in many areas of the party, alongside her studies.
Political Education Officer – Kindred Willow
Kindred’s interest in politics was nurtured during the referendum and led to his membership of the SNP in 2014.
Kindred has been the Youth Officer for the SNP Anniesland branch since January last year and looks forward to invigorating youth politics in Glasgow.
